Malik is a 35-year-old Creative Operator from Rwanda, serving as the Co-Founder/CEO of 63 INC and the Managing Director of African Management Institute. As a visionary leader, Malik has led the team to launch KinaRwanda, Rwanda’s leading social behavior change brand dedicated to educating Rwandans about learning through play. With his extensive experience working with homegrown creative solutions, he has effectively communicated with Rwandans and Africans.
Malik’s dedication to educating and inspiring the next generation of leaders is second to none. He is a visiting professor at a French tourism school in Rwanda, where he teaches personal branding and trend documentation. Before launching KinaRwanda, Malik spent eight years working with Girl Effect/Nike Foundation, where he played a pivotal role in launching Ni Nyampinga, a leading behavior change youth brand in Rwanda, as Brand Director. Under his leadership, the brand became hugely successful, with 80% awareness nationwide and more than 60% of youth consumption. He also launched Tujibebe, a digital media brand for girls in Tanzania.
Malik’s contributions as an Operator in Tech start-up companies such as Andela and AC Group, Rwanda’s leading technology company, have been significant. As COO of AC Group, he implemented a 3M USD investment to empower 15,000 moto riders in Rwanda to use smart meter devices. This effort has made a significant impact on the transportation sector in Rwanda.
